Every piece of furniture is made to the highest quality and with the greatest care to capture the essence of the Low Country here in South Carolina. In order to achieve this excellence, research is the key. Our furniture is meticulously researched to ensure historical accuracy to provide each customer a usable piece of the past using the same techniques and tools.

After 21 years of service in the United States Army, I decided to build fine historically accurate furniture. I attended the Charleston Woodworking School, where I spent an intense nine month course of instruction on traditional furniture design, building, and restoration. Here I would learn all the skills needed to build fine furniture from Master Craftsman and graduate of the prestigious Thomas Chippendale School of Furniture in Scotland, Sam Sprouse .

Here at Charles Towne Woodworks I make it a point to ensure every customer receives the best care in producing a piece of furniture that will fit their home. Research is the key in determining the most accurate time period to match your historical home or décor.
